The Mississippi Valley Trade & Transport Council (MVTTC) is based in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the heart of the Lower Mississippi – the World’s busiest port complex. Our member companies are involved in the production, consumption, handling, sales and distribution of millions of tons of commerce including aggregates, cement, coal, coke, fertilizers, grain, liquid bulk, industrial minerals, raw materials, iron and steel commodities and general cargo.
The MVTTC promotes commerce throughout the Mississippi River system by bringing together the broad spectrum of river users and related transportation entities and by providing this core leadership timely information and the value of a closely integrated and professional industry network . About MVTTC
We cannot believe that it is already September and with school and football starting there is a hint of some normalcy that brings some familiarity to us all. As we continue to navigate these unprecedented times we remain optimistic that things can only improve.
MVTTC continues to be involved in community outreach including scholarships and workforce development. Our involvement and alliances with organizations such as Big River Coalition continue to grow as we focus on infrastructure issues on the Mississippi River. We continue to seek new members to strengthen our organization and fulfill our mission of promoting commerce throughout the Mississippi Valley Region. We appreciate all of the help and support of our member companies and look forward to the upcoming year.
As we plan for our 39th annual conference, scheduled for February 10 & 11, 2021, we will keep you posted on the status as we continueto follow the CDC, WHO and State guidelines.
